Embracing Diversity in Education
3-12 Jahre
Different languages, cultures, family constellations and life experiences determine the world in which children grow up. To feel safe, seen and supported in kindergarten and school, they need environments where differences are welcomed and a sense of belonging is intentionally nurtured.
Educators play a central role in creating these environments - with the language they choose, the relationships they cultivate, and the everyday decisions they make.
This seminar offers practical tools and reflective insights to help educators embrace diversity and build inclusive group cultures. Drawing on current research and hands‑on professional experience, we explore how equity, connection, and belonging can be strengthened in early childhood settings and after‑school programs.
- Understanding diversity and bias in early education
- Building inclusive relationships and using inclusive language
- Addressing subtle forms of exclusion and fostering visibility
- Practical strategies for inclusive group activities
- Strengthening connections between educators, families and communities
